Teaching exams 2026
Government teaching jobs usually need two things: a teacher-training qualification (such as D.El.Ed for primary classes or B.Ed for higher classes) and a pass in a teacher eligibility test — CTET for central schools, or your state’s TET. Passing a TET makes you eligible; the jobs themselves come through separate recruitment exams.
States recruit teachers through their own exams — for example BPSC TRE in Bihar — while KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya) and NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya) recruit for central schools.
