Railway exams 2026

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) hire for Indian Railways through nationwide notices. NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) covers graduate and 12th-pass posts, Group D (Level 1) is for 10th pass or ITI, ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) is for ITI or diploma holders, and JE (Junior Engineer) needs an engineering diploma or degree.

One notice usually covers every RRB region, and you choose one RRB when you apply. Selection starts with a computer-based test; some posts add a physical or aptitude test.
