SSC exams 2026

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruits staff for ministries, departments and offices of the Government of India. Each of its exams is meant for a different education level: CGL (Combined Graduate Level) for graduates, CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) for 12th pass, and MTS and GD Constable for 10th pass.

SSC counts your age on a fixed date printed in each notice, and the usual central government relaxations apply to the upper age limit: 3 years for OBC-NCL and 5 years for SC and ST. Applications are made on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
