State PSC exams 2026

Each state’s Public Service Commission recruits for that state’s administrative and other services — for example UPPSC (Uttar Pradesh), BPSC (Bihar), MPPSC (Madhya Pradesh) and RPSC (Rajasthan). The best known is the combined state civil services exam (often called PCS), held in three stages: preliminary, main and interview.

Most of these posts need a graduate degree. Each state sets its own age limits and relaxations, and reserved-category benefits are generally only for the state’s own domicile candidates.
